Abstract

PT Egrotek Karsa Utama is a technology company that focuses on IoT, especially in Smart Home Equipment, Smart City Equipment, and monitoring services. The author conducted Field Work Practices to explore IoT technology and experience in this company. This report contains tasks and experiences during Field Work Practices. Assigned as an IoT Engineer, the author gets several jobs regarding IoT systems, one of which is the use of Mikrotik LHG in improving Internet Access in the Egrotek Environment. Reliable and fast Internet access is important in the digital age, but many open and rural areas still face connectivity challenges. The MikroTik LHG is an outdoor Wi-Fi device that is expected to overcome topographical and long distance barriers, thus becoming the expected solution. This report covers the configuration of the Mikrotik LHG, from setting network parameters to security settings. The research approach involves a series of practical steps to ensure smooth internet access and network performance optimization in the Egrotek environment. It is expected that the results of this implementation can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of internet connectivity.
