Abstract

Report on Field Work Practices (PKL) on the Infrastructure Building in the Infrastructure and Network Division of the Banyumas Communication and Information Agency located at Jalan Masjid No. 8, Sokanegara, Kec. Purwokerto Tim., Banyumas Regency, Central Java 53115 which will be held from August 7 to September 7, 2023. This Field Work Practice is used to complement course assignments, namely practical work and to train students' skills, This report discusses the application of the Queue Tree method on networks at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) to improve bandwidth management. With simulations on Cisco packet tracer, this method has been successfully applied to optimize the allocation and use of network resources, resulting in improved performance and efficiency in bandwidth distribution on the Kominfo infrastructure. The evaluation results show that the use of Queue Tree in has had a significant positive impact on bandwidth management, supporting the need for smoother and more effective services. The purpose of PKL for students is to be able to learn various new things, such as technical skills, soft skills, and knowledge of policies and regulations in the field of informatics and telecommunications as well as to meet the requirements for the S1 Telecommunication Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Telecommunication and Electrical Engineering, Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology.
