Abstract

This practical work aims to implement and improve the monitoring system of fiber optic based internet nerwork in Diskominfestandi Bekast Cory. This research uses WhatsUp Gold software to monitor network health and device performance across the fiber optic based network. The research involved inual setup, software configuration, active monitoring, and analysis of the data obtained. The results of the practical work show that the use of WhatsUp Gold enables more efficient and effective network monitoring Network administrators con quickly detect problems predict potential disruptions, and respond to changes in network performance. This can help Urskominfostands Bekasi City to improve their internet service quality, reduce downume, and increase customer satisfaction. To start monitoring the intended network the author can enter the IP address of the device connected to the company's internal network. After a successful login the Whatup Network Monitor main screen will appear. There the author will see an overview of the monitored network including the number of active and inactive devices. This Practical Work can be a foundation for further development in improving fiher optic-based network infrastructure in Bekan City and also provide guidance for similar insurations in wilizing What's Up Gold as an effective monitoring tool in internal network management.
