Abstract
PT. Casuarina Harnessindo is a company engaged in the automotive electronics sector since 1997. This company produces various kinds of circuit wiring harness such as various types of vehicle circuits, both motorcycles and cars. In its production, the company divides into two productions including special production for Yamaha and production for Yamaha jams, because most of the requests from the company are choosing the Yamaha company, which is about 60% of all production done to meet PT. Yamaha. The number of requests that Yamaha wants has an effect on the current production system, so there needs to be a balance of customers within the company in order to meet their needs, including one that affects the balance of material handling activities. The process carried out regarding material handling within the company still finds irregularities in its activities related to the work process flow. The analysis that needs to be done in improving the work process is carried out by improvement analysis using DMAIC. The results obtained from this process include an offer in the manufacture of work instructions accompanied by a check sheet as monitoring.
