Abstract

Fiber optic technology is the talk of many people, this technology has become one of the new prima donnas in the telecommunications world. At Telkom Access, the type of network used is FTTH (Fiber To The Home). FTTH is a term for telecommunications technology that uses fiber cables. The activities carried out in the implementation of this practical work itself are checking the ODP (Optical Distribution Point), ODP is one of the Alpros in the Network Topology of FTTH (Fiber To The Home). ODP is a passive device that is installed outdoors, indoors, or inside buildings. In this practical work, do some validation on ODP, check ODP Management, check Connect OLT Invalid and Non-Connect, and also check VALINS ID using NMS (Network Management System). In checking that occurred on ODP turnover, some users were used on ODP experienced Valins Action and some experienced damage to the OLT or ODP, then in the Validation of ODP info in the city of Medan there were 5 waiting validated on ODP, the total validation data on that day were validated as much as 2.104, and when combined with waiting validated, the total data obtained is 2.105, 14 OLTs with invalid status, then 12 OLTs with not connect status.
