Abstract

Javanese script is one of the local cultures that is still being studied in schools, but the lack of interesting learning media is often a factor in children being lazy to read and learn it, coupled with the development of an increasingly advanced era where children are more interested in foreign or modern cultures. Therefore, by using descriptive qualitative methods as well as interviews, literature studies and documentation that aims to obtain data used in designing an illustration book for the introduction of Javanese letters with interactive media stickers in the form of puzzles to be attached to books, this research is used as one of the methods. to produce a design that aims to solve the problem. The interactive media used is expected to solve a problem because by providing the media it is hoped that the child will be able to remember the Javanese Script letters as well as play to solve a problem, namely finding puzzle pieces and sticking them on the sheet that has been provided. From the research method used, namely descriptive qualitative research, it can produce a book Introduction to Javanese Script Letters with Anime Kids Style, so that children are more interested and more motivated to learn Javanese Script.
