Abstract

The rice farming sector in Kecamatan Rakit, Banjarnegara, faces a significant challenge in recruiting agricultural workers, with both landowners and tenant farmers finding it difficult to find new laborers to work in rice farming. Factors such as inadequate rural infrastructure and facilities, coupled with limited technology adoption, have reduced the attractiveness of working in the rice farming sector. Consequently, rice farming productivity has declined due to a shortage of adequate and skilled labor. To address this issue, a web application prototype named "Partner Tani" was designed to facilitate labor recruitment for rice farmers. The application design process employed the Design Thinking methodology and the use of the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) to thoroughly understand user needs. The designed outcomes include user interface and administrator interface components. The design development was carried out using Figma. This prototype application features functionalities such as login, account registration, profile management, job posting and searching, and complaint reporting. Evaluation results using UEQ revealed that the prototype application achieved exceptional scores across all user experience dimensions: Attractiveness (average score: 2,11), Perspicuity (average score: 1,42), Efficiency (average score: 2,33), Dependability (average score: 1,50), Stimulation (average score: 1,75), and Novelty (average score: 1,67). The average scores for Attractiveness, Efficiency, Stimulation, and Novelty fell within the "Excellent" range, while the scores for Perspicuity and Dependability were above average. This research indicates that the "Partner Tani" web application prototype has the potential to provide users with a satisfactory and efficient experience in recruiting rice farming labor.
