Abstract

In the development of technology and information communication at this time, especially wireless / wireless (wireless) communication has become a public need. Especially in modern times like this, people put forward something that is practical to use and easily available. Wireless technology is also more flexible because it is not used as a cable to connect between nodes or devices. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance or performance of the Zigbee network in a place that contains interference (Building Telematics) and does not contain noise (Housing Tiara Permai) with conditions of LOS (Line Of Sight). The parameters for network performance measurement include Throughput, Range Test, Packet Loss, Delay, and RSSI which are standard QOS in a network. For Measurement Throughput, Packet loss, and delay are measured by 3 variations in the amount of data, 8 bytes, 15 bytes and 20 bytes. Based on the research, the optimal throughput value is obtained in locations where there is no interference with a value of 3.66 Kbps with 15 bytes of data transmission. The optimal value of packet loss is obtained where there is no interference with a value of 0% with the condition of all nodes sending data to the coordinator. Interference, noise and collision are the 3 main factors that decrease the quality of zigbee network performance with tree topology. Because if a data packet is sent and has the same channel as other devices, it can reduce the quality of the performance of the transmitter device in transmitting signals and receiving signals.
